Tandoori chicken

Tandoori chicken is a popular Indian dish. It is traditionally made in tandoor (clay oven), but don't worry if you don't have a tandoor, it can be easily prepared at home in oven.
Prep time: 10 mins
Cook time: 35 mins
Total time: 45 mins


Ingredients:
Chicken legs - 5 nos.
Yogurt - 2 tbsps.
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Chili powder - 2 tsp
Coriander powder - 2 1/2 tsp
Cumin powder - 1 tsp
Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsps.
Kasuri methi - 1/2 tsp
Lemon juice - 1 tbsps.
Ghee - 1 tbsps.
Red food color - as needed (optional)
Salt - to taste
Method:
1. Wash and clean the chicken legs, make slits on it.
2. In a bowl combine all the ingredients except chicken and give a good mix.
3. Marinate the chicken with the above prepared paste and refrigerate it overnight or at least 4 hours prior cooking.
4. Preheat the oven to 425 F. Prepare the baking tray by placing silver foil and apply oil on it.
5. Arrange the marinated chicken on tray and bake for 20 minutes. Flip over other side and bake for another 15 minutes.
6. Remove it from the oven and garnish with cilantro.
