Beetroot halwa is a healthy sweet recipe. Most of women are
anemic and at the time of pregnancy the hemoglobin level goes down. Beetroot
contains lot of iron which helps in the formation of hemoglobin.

Ingredients:
Grated
beetroot - 1 cup
Sugar - 1/2 cup
Milk - 1/2 cup
Ghee - 3 tbsps.
Cardamom powder - a pinch
Almonds and cashews roasted in ghee
Sugar - 1/2 cup

Method:
1. In a heavy bottomed pan add 1 tbsp. of ghee and roast the
grated beetroot for few minutes. Add 1/2 cup milk and allow it to cook.
2. Add 1/2 cup of sugar to the cooked beetroot, stir until it becomes thick and reach the halwa consistency whereas side by side add the remaining 2 tbsps. ghee.
3. Add cardamom powder and garnish with roasted nuts.
Note:

Note:
You can also boil the beetroot to reduce cooking time
