Carrot halwa or gajar halwa is a traditional Punjabi dessert. It
is packed with fresh carrots, nuts, milk etc and gives beautiful color and
flavor.

Ingredients:
Carrots - 1 kg
Milk - 1 liter
Sugar - 1 cup
Ghee - 2 tbsp
Cardamom powder -1/2 tsp
Roasted almonds and cashews
Milk - 1 liter
Sugar - 1 cup
Ghee - 2 tbsp
Cardamom powder -1/2 tsp

Method:
1. Boil milk in a nonstick pan.
After it boils add grated Carrots. Let it be in medium flame till the carrots
become soft and there is no milk visible in the pan.
2. Keep on stirring. Add sugar and cardamom powder, stir till the sugar dissolves and halwa thickens.
3. Add ghee and roasted almonds and cashews, cook for another two minutes.
4. Serve hot or cold...

Note:
You can also boil the carrots to
reduce cooking time.
