Moong dal kheer / Pasiparupu payasam

Moong dal kheer is a very easy sweet dish that we can make for any festive occasion. Moong dal has high level of proteins and fiber. It is also an excellent source of vitamins and minerals....
Cook time: 20 mins
Serving: 3 Members

Moong dal - 3/4 cup
Jaggery - 1 cup
Milk - 1/2 cup
Cardamom powder - a pinch
Few cashews
Ghee - 1 tbsp
1. Roast the dal till a nice aroma comes. Pressure cook the dal with 2 cups of water.
2. Remove excess water and mash the cooked dal.
3. Add the powdered jaggery and heat further. Once the jaggery dissolves add boiled and cooled milk and cardamom powder.
4. Roast the cashews in ghee and pour in the kheer.
