Ammini
kozhukattai is a savoury mini rice balls tempered with mild spices. It is
called ammini kozhukattai in Tamilnadu and Undrallu gugillu in Andhra Pradesh.
It can be prepared in both sweet and spicy version. Today I tried spicy version,
this can be prepared during festival days especially on Vinayagar Chathurthi.
This is very healthy since it is cooked by steaming.

Ingredients:
Rice flour – 1 cup
Grated coconut – 2 tbsp
Mustard seeds – ½ tsp
Curry leaves – 1 spring
Dry red chili - 2
Coconut oil – 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Water as needed
Method:
1. Boil
the water by adding salt to it. Add water little by little to the flour and
prepare a smooth dough.
2. Grease
your hands with oil and make small size balls from the dough. Steam this in a
greased idli plate for 10 to 15 mins.
3. Heat
oil in a pan, temper with mustard seeds, dry red chilies and curry leaves. Add the steamed rice
balls to it and add coconut. Mix well.
4. Add
salt if needed. Serve as snack.
