Oven Baked Crispy Sweet Potato Fries

We always love French fries. Due to high calories and fat, we avoid eating up to satisfaction. Here comes the healthy sweet alternative for French fries – oven baked crispy sweet potato fries. They are caramelized and crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. They are very easy to prepare which takes less than about 30 minutes and tastes delicious. Try this in your home and I hope you will enjoy it as much as my family does.

Per serving (3 oz) of baked sweet potato fries contains about 122 calories. Sweet potatoes are high in vitamin A, vitamin B5, B6, thiamin, niacin and also high in carotenoids. They are very low in sodium and very low in saturated fat and cholesterol.

Ingredients:
Sweet potatoes – 2
Paprika – ½ tsp
Cayenne pepper – ½ tsp
Pepper – ½ tsp
Cumin powder – ½ tsp
Salt to taste
Olive oil – 1 tbsp


Method:
1. Preheat the oven to 425 F. Peel the sweet potatoes and cut them into fry-shaped pieces.
2. In a mixing bowl, toss the fry shaped pieces with all the spices, salt and olive oil. Mix to distribute evenly.
3. Arrange the fries in a single layer and don’t overcrowd, otherwise they will never crisp up.
4. Bake for 10 minutes, then flip them so they can cook all sides. Bake for 10 more minutes or until the fries are crispy.
