Paneer Butter Masala recipe / Paneer Makhani recipe.


I am a great fan of paneer and always love to prepare dish using paneer. So one day evening, it was snowing heavily and by seeing the weather outside, i was craving to eat something hot, tasty and delicious. So checked my fridge and my most favorite paneer was sitting there, by seeing that first thought came into my mind is eating soft and fluffy chapathis with creamy and tasty paneer butter masala. We all know paneer butter masala is a famous north Indian dish and it is very easy to prepare with the ingredients available at home. Most of them use cream to prepare paneer butter masala, but i thought to prepare a low fat version so i skipped fresh cream. Then you can wonder what i used to get that creamy texture:-), that you can check in my recipe given below. I hope you all try this in home and share your valuable comments with me.
Prep time: 10 mins
Cook time: 30 mins
Total time: 40 mins

Ingredients:
Butter - 1 tbsp
Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
Onion - 1, finely chopped
Tomato - 3, pureed
Red chili powder - 2 tsp
Coriander powder - 3 tsp
Garam masala - 1 tsp
Kasuri methi leaves - 1 tsp
Beaten Yogurt - 2 tsp
Paneer - 1 packet, cubed
Milk - 1/4 cup
Cornflour - 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Cilantro for garnishing

Method:
1.Heat butter in a pan, add cumin seeds and ginger garlic paste, fry till the raw smell leaves.
2. Add onions and saute till it turns translucent and now add the pureed tomatoes and cook till the oil separates.
3. Now add the spice powders and enough amount of water and cook till it starts to boil.
4. Add beaten yogurt and give a good mix. Add the cubed paneer,salt and cook in low flame for 6 to 7 minutes.
5. Mix cornflour and milk in a bowl and add it to the gravy.
6. Cook it in low flame for about 10 to 12 minutes. Now creamy paneer butter masala is ready, Garnish with cilantro.

Chicken 65 recipe / Spicy fried chicken


Today i am going to share you the recipe of juicy and soft chicken 65. I think none of the menu cards in India will be there without chicken 65. The most liked and easiest recipe to enjoy the delicious taste of chicken. It is a perfect starter for any potluck or get together party. But it is not recommended for weight watchers since it is deep fried. We don't follow diet in weekends ;-) so tried this recipe last sunday. I hope you all try this and share your valuable comments.
Prep time: 5 mins
Marination time: 1 hour
Cook time: 20 mins

Ingredients:
Boneless chicken - 500 gm ( cut into small pieces)
Ginger garlic paste
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Red chili powder - 3 tsp
Coriander powder - 2 tsp
Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
Egg white of 1 egg
Lemon juice - 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil for frying
Cilantro, Green chilies, Onion, Lemon pieces for garnishing

Method:
1.Clean the chicken well and cut into small pieces.
2. In a large mixing bowl, take chicken pieces. Add Ginger garlic paste and all spice powders.
3. Add salt, lemon juice and egg white to it. Give a good mix till all the chicken pieces are coated with masala.
4. Add lemon juice and give a good mix. Don't add water otherwise it drink too much oil while frying.
5. Make the marination with the help of egg white alone. Refrigerate it for 1 hour.
6. Heat oil for frying in a kadai, when it turns piping hot, drop the marinated chicken pieces one by one. Don't over crowd it.
7. Deep fry them until it turns golden brown and crispy. Garnish with cilantro, green chilies, onion and serve hot.

Pull-Apart Samosa Bread Recipe


Pull apart samosa bread is a really delicious and filling starter. Soft bread with the combination of flavorful vegetable stuffing gives excellent taste. We can enjoy the taste of samosa without hesitation since it is oil free. This dish is very interesting and easy to prepare and the result looks so gorgeous and tasty. I tried this recipe from K o rasoi.com, slightly modified according to my taste.


Prep time: 1 hour 30 mins
Cook time: 45 mins
Total time: 2 hours 15 mins

Ingredients:
For Bread:
All-purpose flour / Maida – 2 cups
Warm milk – ¼ cup
Salt to taste
Sugar – 2 tbsp
Active yeast – 4 tbsp
Warm water – as needed
Butter – 1 tbsp
For Stuffing:
Olive oil – 2 tbsp
Onion – 1, finely chopped
Ginger garlic paste – 1 tsp
Green chili – 1, finely chopped
Boiled potatoes – 2, mashed
Green peas – ¼ cup, boiled
 Cumin powder – ¼ tsp
Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
Red chili powder – 1 tsp
Coriander powder– 1 ½ tsp
Dry amchoor powder – ¼ tsp
Garam masala – ¾ tsp
Chat masala – to sprinkle
Salt to taste
Cilantro – For garnishing

Method:
To prepare stuffing:
1. Heat oil in a pan, Saute onion till it turns translucent and then add ginger garlic paste and green chilies and saute till the raw smell leaves.
2. Add Mashed potatoes and green peas, cook for about 3 to 5 minutes.
3. Now add all the spice powders and salt and cook for about 10 to 12 minutes.
4. At last sprinkle chat masala and garnish with cilantro.
5. Now the stuffing is ready.
To prepare Dough:
1. In a bowl, Take warm milk, salt, sugar and add yeast to it. Mix well and keep it aside for 10 minutes till it turns frothy.
2. Now take all-purpose flour in a large mixing bowl, add the yeast activated warm milk to it and add enough amount of warm water, and knead a soft dough.
3. Cover it with a damp cloth and place in a warm place for 1 hour or wait till it doubles the size
4. After that knead it again to push the air out.
5. Take half of the dough and roll it on a floured surface into a large round with medium sized thickness
6. Now grease the baking tray and preheat the oven to 350F.
7. Take a round shaped cookie cutter and cut as many rounds from the dough.
8. Take on small round of dough, place the stuffing in the center and fold the sides, bring into middle and seal it.
9. Place it on the corner of the baking dish and repeat the same for all rounds.
10. Arrange from the outer corner of the baking dish and finish it in the center without any space between them.
11. Now brush with butter at the top and bake for about 40 to 45 minutes.
12. Delicious Pull apart samosa bread is ready.
