We
all love fish recipes and also we can have it without feeling guilty. Normally I
used to prepare fish gravy and fish fry for lunch or dinner sometimes. Today I tried
fish puttu which came out really well. This dish is very easy to prepare and it
takes just 20 to 25 minutes. Try this in home and share your comments.
Ingredients:
Gingelly
oil – 2 tbsp
Fennel
seeds – ½ tsp
Cumin
seeds – ½ tsp
Poppy
seeds – ½ tsp
Curry
leaves – 1 spring
Big
onion – 1, finely chopped
Turmeric
powder – ¼ tsp
Red
chili powder – 1 tsp
Coriander
powder – 1 tsp
Cumin
powder – ½ tsp
Garam
masala – ½ tsp
Salt
– as needed
Tilapia
fish – 2
Cilantro
- few
Method:
1.
Heat oil in a pan, Season with cumin seeds, fennel seeds, poppy seeds and curry
leaves.
2.
Add onions and saute till it turns golden brown and crispy.
3.
Add all the masala powders, salt and saute till the raw smell disappears.
4.
Now add the well cleaned fish and cover the pan with lid. Fish will get cooked
within 15 minutes.
5.
Now open the lid and scramble the fish well till it reaches scrambled egg
texture. Give a good mix and cook for another 5 minutes.
6.
Garnish with cilantro and serve hot.
